Reps: We won’t give youths money, they’ll unseat us!

Nairobi County Assembly in session. The House members have opposed a motion to support youths to finance contracts. File, NairobiNewsNairobi County Assembly in session. The House members have opposed a motion to support youths to finance contracts.  A motion that would have empowered the young people by giving them access to government funding for their businesses has been shot down by the County Assembly.
Members of the Assembly ganged up to defeat the motion by Karen Ward Rep David Mberia, claiming that empowering the youth would create new leadership rivals in their wards.
In a surprise move, Mr Mberia was left with only a handful of Ward Reps on his side who accused the motion opposers of selfishly advancing dependency among youth.
The motion had proposed to have the county government work with financial institutions and have them give loans to those who win contracts.
Seek loans
This would mean that youthful entrepreneurs who get  Local Purchasing Orders (LPOs) from the County Government can seek loans from the shortlisted institutions.
“Today, individuals can get financed by banks if they have government LPOs. We propose that the county government helps our youth to finance LPOs,” said Mr Mberia.
He said there were youth groups who got contracts but were unable to finance them.
“We must help the Government to achieve the implementation of its allocation of 30 per cent of contracts to the youth,” said Mr Mberia.
But majority leader Elias Otieno led a rebellion against the motion, saying it would create overnight millionaires.
“We have struggled to reach where we are as business people. Our youth will become lazy if we pave way for easy loans,” said Mr Otieno.
Mlango Kubwa Ward Rep Andrew Macharia warned Assembly members that they risked creating new rivals in their backyards if they allowed the youth to make money through County Hall.
“We shall  unknowingly be creating our own competitors. Let people look for their own money to do their businesses,” said Mr Macharia.
Mrs Elizabeth Manyala of Kayole South said there is a risk of putting the government in more debt. Maurice Akuku of Nyayo Highrise said a government could not be the guarantor to those it gave contracts.
While accepting defeat, Mr Mberia expressed  disappointment at  the fear shown by his colleagues.
“How can a leader  oppose  a proposal to empower youths? I think we have our priorities wrong,” said Mr Mberia.

BREAKING: Uhuru saves ‘smartly dressed’ female police cop.

BREAKING: Uhuru saves ‘smartly dressed’ female police cop

Then he said, “let the woman be”, with these four words, President Uhuru Kenyatta may have yet again solved another ‘storm’ in his Jubilee Alliance government of jets, journalists and joblessness  when he ordered the deputy Inspector of policewomen Grace Kaindi to ‘not interfere’ with the hottest police ‘girl’ in the former police force – now police service – of the republic of Kenya.
From the time an ass-orgling photo-journalist took a mugshot of the rear of this police woman, already identified as Linda Okello, the whole police force force has reacted with haste, agility and alertness which beats both sides of the human logic. One may even be tempted to believe the Linda kept the Sh 27 billion pellets of  heroin intercepted, ane emptied  in Indian Ocean, between her ass skin and the police skirt she wore on the fateful day.
Of course this is sickening.
All top police cops, including the very old with wrinkled butts and stressed boobs are scavenging a piece of Linda. She will be humiliated, charged and, at worst, demoted.
On a more serious note, the police force should avoid pettiness. The fight against petty crime can be won by putting more admirable policewomen on duty, rather than skating around. Kenya Today has been informed the lady has been charged with truancy, or indecency or both. Bullcrap.

Liverpool and City as the title race looks set to go to the wire; the favourites

Just four points separate the top three teams in the league table ahead of Sunday's huge clash between Liverpool and City as the title race looks set to go to the wire

The enormous clash between Liverpool and Manchester City on Sunday may have been billed as a title decider, but the race to become Premier League champions this season appears almost certain to run until the final day of the season.

Four points separate the top three and I think Liverpool, City and Chelsea will all go into the last weekend with a chance of winning the league.

While all the hype is surrounding the big matches when Liverpool host City and Chelsea, the destination of the Premier League trophy could just as easily be determined in games when you would ordinarily expect a routine victory. There is no margin for error.

Both Liverpool and City can claim to have the title in their own hands, with the Reds top of the table heading into this weekend and with the momentum behind them having won 10 league games in a row.

The two home games against City and Chelsea will, most probably, decide whether Brendan Rodgers’ men can put Liverpool back on their perch with an historic first title triumph since 1990.

Liverpool are flying and I cannot see them losing either match at Anfield. I think the home crowd will roar them to victory against City, who have been rattled in away games this season.

If they can beat City and avoid defeat to Chelsea, Rodgers’ side should not have any problems in beating Norwich, Crystal Palace and Newcastle given their formidable attacking power.

City have long been considered favourites for the title and they would probably be comfortably out in front had Sergio Aguero not been injured for most of the second half of the campaign.

Aguero’s return could prove a vital factor in the final weeks of the season but he will be lacking sharpness on Sunday, while I don’t think City’s defence is strong enough to keep Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge at bay.

A draw at Anfield would leave City in pole position to win the league, but their hopes could equally be decided by another trip to Merseyside.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side should stroll to victory in the rest of their remaining matches - and, of course, they have games in hand - except for their visit to Everton on May 3.

City have a poor recent record at Goodison Park - they lost 2-0 there last season - and the Toffees are themselves fighting for a top-four finish. Even Manchester City's title fate looks set to be decided on the other end of the East Lancs Road.

Chelsea are almost seen as the outsiders but the Londoners have the easiest run-in, with four of their remaining five fixtures against sides currently in the bottom six in the table and facing potential relegation.

Blues fans will be aware that they have struggled in away games when they are expected to win this season, the recent defeat at Crystal Palace one such example.

But Jose Mourinho knows how to grind out results while he is the king of preparing for big matches, so I think Chelsea will manage to take a point from Anfield.

While Liverpool and City are focused solely on the Premier League, Chelsea have at least two more Champions League matches to come as they face Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals of Europe’s elite competition.

That could play a part in a title race that could be decided by the finest of margins.

But whatever happens, we are in for a thrilling end to the season.

Woman throws shoe at Hillary Clinton in Vegas

A woman rushed past security and threw a shoe at Hillary Clinton in Las Vegas on Thursday, but it
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ducks after a woman threw an object toward her while she was delivering remarks at the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries conference on April 10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Clinton is continuing on a speaking tour this week with the stop at the recycling industry trade conference.
A woman rushed past security and threw a shoe at Hillary Clinton in Las Vegas on Thursday, but it missed and the former US secretary of state laughed off the incident.
The woman launched the projectile at the 66-year-old former First Lady as she was addressing a meeting of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI).
Clinton, the presumed frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016, ducked as the object whizzed past at head height to the left of her.
"What was that, a bat?... Is that somebody throwing something at me?" Clinton said initially at the event at the Mandalay Bay hotel/casino, according to video footage by the local KTNV station.
Regaining her composure and sense of humor, she added: "Is that part of Cirque du Soleil?" -- a reference to the acrobatic dance troupe, which has several shows in Vegas.
"My goodness, I didn't know that solid waste management was so controversial. Thank goodness she didn't play softball like I did," she said, drawing laughter and cheers from the audience.
The blonde woman who threw the shoe was immediately escorted out of the hall, her hands in the air. She was later arrested, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
A spokesman for the organizers said the woman was not accredited for the meeting.
"Our staff denied her access before she later rushed past security. An ISRI staffer then stopped her as she approached the stage. She was then handed over to law enforcement," ISRI spokesman Mark Carpenter told AFP.
He added: "We are grateful that Secretary Clinton continued in a professional manner to share her firsthand knowledge and experience of how the recycling industry has a positive impact on the economy and environment."
A spokesman for Clinton did not immediately respond to request for confirmation or comment.
The most famous shoe-thrower of recent years was the Iraqi journalist who hurled his own footwear at president George W. Bush at a press conference in Baghdad in December 2008.
Muntazer al-Zaidi was sentenced to three years in prison for assaulting a head of state. That was reduced to one year on appeal, and his sentence was cut further for good behavior.
In February 2009 a German research student threw a shoe at Chinese premier Wen Jiabao during a speech at Cambridge University. Martin Jahnke, 27, was cleared of committing a public order offense.

Ingwe secretary George Aladwa confirms to Goal that either Italian coach Emmauele Filippini or Bulgarian Velizar Popov will take over at the den

AFC Leopards’ have lined up two foreign tacticians – Italian Emmauele Filippini and Bulgarian Velizar Popov – to take over at the den hours after sacking James Nandwa. Ingwe secretary general George Aladwa has revealed to Goal that one of the two coaches will be unveiled next week to handle the club for remainder of the season.
Aladwa said the two are among many foreign coaches, who had applied for the job. “We have narrowed down the list to the aforementioned coaches. We will now meet as an Executive Committee to decide who takes over from Nandwa.
“We want to appoint a new coach as quickly as possible and next week we will have big news for you. We will definitely pick from the two. They (both coaches) have impressive CV’s but the EC will have to pick one.”
Filippini had an amazing career in Serie A with Brescia featuring in a total of 175 games and scoring six goals over the course of eight seasons. The 41 year-old emerged through his hometown Brescia Calcio’s youth system and stayed there for eight professional seasons, after having started – on loan – with amateurs Ospitaletto.
Filippini made his Serie A debut on August 31, 1997, in a 1-2 away defeat to Inter Milan. Filippini, who retired at the age of 36, was in late January 2010, appointed as assistant coach of the Giovanissimi Nazionali youth team guided by Omar Danesi.
On the other hand, Popov has coached Sur Club (Oman), New Radiant Sports Club (Moldavia) which he helped win the league last year, FC Liberika-Horsens (Denmark) among other clubs and is a holder of the UEFA Pro License.
Nandwa was fired on Thursday alongside his technical bench save for goalkeeper trainer Washington Muhanji, who was retained and will take over as coach on acting capacity.

The best way to argue with your wife if you coming home late from a party

Never argue with a woman, just use
your brains like this guy:
A man went on a night out with his
friends the wife is furious and tells
the kids that when he comes back
they must not open the door for
him.
At about 12 midnight the man
comes back and knocks...the Wife
tells him "Go back and sleep where
you are coming from!!!"
Judging by her tone of voice that her
fury is about to overflow and the
man answered "Relax I'm not here
to sleep, I'm here to collect condoms
in my room on top of the table or
just give them to me. There are lots
of women at the party!"
The wife opened the door and said
"You are not going anywhere come
in here before I change my mind!"
Who is Wiser the MAN OR the
WOMAN?

Secrets you never tell

He looked at me and smiled, after along stare he said, "secrets you never tell,'' and paused again, I am who I am because they made me who I am, i guess this is the man every woman wants, when I see them cry, I always remember the tears she made me roll, the pains i went through, the ulcers i suffered from, the headaches, brother you know how a man in love feels when the girl he loves keeps on playing games and entertaining other men, something they don't understand is that i cry even louder and feel nothing for them, i want to see a million more cry. this is what he had to say as he wipes the tears rolling down his cheeks. I just looked on and wondered what to do next, men also cries.!
I have loved genuinely, broke guys, misers, and i have been hurt, then i asked myself why should i be hurt by someone who doesn't know the price of pads, someone who believes that my place is just in bed, when will i get stories to tell my peers, when they are rolling all over from one big restaurant to the other, from red carpet dinners to dinners, i will rather be hurt by someone who can give me a flight ticket to Mombasa than someone who can't even afford my transport to his place, someone who can get me a pair of some expensive shoes and dresses than someone who believes that every woman is a gold digger even when they don't know the color of cold, she said, looking very serious. times have changed, and as much as men think they are smarter, women are improving their games each and everyday, if you didn't buy her that cute dress you like seeing her in it just know that another man bought it, and it was not for free, she slept with the guy, and that is the bitter truth men should live with, she continued with all sorts of gestures...............

with this and many more, look for "secrets you never tell by Wilfred Namamba, and read some serious Revelations from both men and women and why they choose multiple partners

WHY A LIZARD SHOULD NOT BE BETTER THAN YOU

This is a true story

In a bid to renovate his house, a man breaks a wooden wall. When tearing down the wall, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet. He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail, it was nailed 3 years ago when the house was first built. What happened? The lizard has survived in such position for 3 years! In a dark wall partition for 3 years without moving, it is impossible and mind-boggling. Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 3 years without moving a single step since its foot was nailed! So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating.

Later, not knowing from where it came, appears another lizard, with food in its mouth. Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply. For the lizard that was stuck by nail, another lizard has been feeding it for the past 3 years Imagine? It has been doing that untiringly for 3 long years, without giving up hope on its partner. Imagine what a small creature can do that a creature blessed with a brilliant mind can't. Please never abandon your loved ones. Never Say You're Busy When They Really Need You. You May Have The Entire World At Your Feet. But You Might Be The Only World To Them. A Moment of negligence might break the very heart which loved you against all odds.

Michelle’s harrowing tale of rape and the lessons she has learnt

He held both my arms and legs, so I could not move at all. I felt extreme pain — worse than birth pain — like someone was pounding a hammer into my private area, ripping it in every direction with each penetration.
I tried to kick and scream, but remembered that his body was holding me down.

It felt like it would never end. Then a flood of anger welled up; I was screaming for help. How come nobody was coming to my rescue?

Are you a Christian? I am, which is why I did not understand why God was just sitting there, watching.

You see, I knew my rapist or I thought I did. He was a completely different person on that day. I remember screaming my head off and crying: ‘Why? Why are you doing this?’ He just stared at me with an empty look and continued to abuse me.

I could not scream anymore, so I gave up. I realised that the horrific experience was only going to end when he decided to end it.

This is where I gave up on God and myself because I could not scream or fight anymore.

On that day, I lost my soul. I was left emotionally, mentally and spiritually empty. I did not have support from anyone.

To this day, one ‘friend’ does not even know why I called her. She never returned my messages even when I told her to call me back.

Ripple effect
When I tried to seek help, a pastor’s wife from a healing church in Justin, Texas in the US, where I was, told me that I brought this on myself.

Then I had to come to terms with the pregnancy. I also lost  my job and no one wanted to hire me because I was pregnant.

My gynaecologist asked me whether I had clearly stated to this man that I was not romantically interested in him. What did that even mean? Did it justify his actions? The doctor’s question made me so depressed, I became suicidal.

The only reason I was raped was because he was stronger than me. I have a taser that I bought after the first time I was raped by someone else, but could not reach for it from my purse because I was pinned down.

If you are raped
I have been raped twice and I can assure you that sometimes, nobody understands. Others, the kind you believed would run to your rescue or comfort you, may not even understand.

They might just shock you by blaming you for being a victim. Yes, the world is a sick place. From these two horrific experiences, this is my advice:

The top priority is to fight for your mind. More than ever, you need it to think clearly. It will try to disassociate from all kinds of emotions, but gather it together. If you do not, your disassociation from your mind may prevent you from doing the very things you said you would do “if it ever happened to me”.

When you can think clearly, immediately go to the Police and file charges, then go to hospital and get tested. Never take a shower first.

Do not allow anyone to question whether you could have led this guy on. If he has a  partner, they will believe you did and may even attack you. Do not let her get to you.

Remember not to feel guilty.

If you have never been raped, never say what you would do if you were raped. You cannot project what you will be feeling. Do not degrade another person who has been raped.

If the rapist was known to you and starts texting, calling or following you everywhere after the rape, document everything and tell the Police. Also, surround yourself with as many people as you can.

If, after the rape, you try to connect with friends, but they are too busy and are not returning your messages, leave them a message indicating why you urgently need to get a hold of them.

If you are raped twice and someone has the audacity to say, “the only common dominator is you”, or “you brought that on yourself”, do not let it get to you. You are a survivor, not a victim.

I recommend that you keep the baby, but it will be tough. I lost everything, except my car during the pregnancy, and had to live in shelters for the homeless when I could not afford rent anymore.

Before my rapist struck, I  was ready to get my master’s degree, but now I have no way of doing that.
My son makes some of the same expressions as the rapist and has his mouth, but it is very clear that he has a different soul from his father.

I have talked to children who were given up for adoption and they said they would rather be with their biological mother.

I have also talked to mothers who gave up their children because they did not have any money to raise a child (like myself).

But the experience of motherhood will make you want to fight for yourself, and go much further for yourself than you would when you were single.

Find strong support. There will be lots of advice from people when you share your experience. Your soul will recognise the genuine ones.

Do not let the bitterness change who you are, or let you stay in the past instead of moving forward. Find a good church that will help you eventually  forgive the attacker.

If you have to move house more than once and change your phone number so your attacker cannot find you, do it. I did.

Uganda to 'send troops to Somalia to protect UN'

A Ugandan soldier in Afgoye, Somalia, on 1 March 2014 About 22,000 troops are fighting al-Qaeda linked militants in Somalia
Uganda will send a 410-strong special force to guard UN installations in Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, a Ugandan army spokesman has said.
The protection squad will free up thousands of UN-backed troops to pursue militant Islamists in the city, Paddy Ankunda said.
The al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabab group has stepped up attacks in Mogadishu in recent weeks.
At least 12 people were killed in a suicide bombing last Thursday.
Last June, it carried out a major assault on the main UN base in Mogadishu, leaving at least 22 people dead.
'Mortar raids' A 22,000-strong African Union (AU) force, operating under a UN mandate, is battling al-Shabab in Somalia.
Col Ankunda said the protection squad would ensure the AU force was not "bogged down" escorting UN staff - many of whom are involved in aid work.
"Amisom [the African force] will be freed to follow al-Shabab wherever they are hiding," he added.
Al-Shabab lost control of most of Mogadishu in 2011 to AU and Somali government troops.
It has changed its strategy since then, launching guerrilla-style attacks - including suicide bombings and night-time mortar raids.
Last month, al-Shabab fighters stormed Villa Somalia, the seat of government in Mogadishu, killing at least 11 people.
The group has waged an eight-year insurgency to overthrow the weak UN-backed government and create an Islamic state in Somalia.

What To Do If Somebody Is Chasing You And Trying To Shoot You

 Justin Freeman, Former Police Officer.
This post was originally published on Quora, in response to the question, "What should I do if someone is chasing me and trying to shoot me?" We republished the answer with permission from the author, former police officer Justin Freeman.  If you're on foot, you're obviously going to be running, but you need to do so smartly.      Your instinct will be to run directly away from the attacker, since a direct line is the shortest; however, you need to fight this tendency and make random cuts in your flight pattern. A moving target is fairly hard to hit, but if you're running in a straight line it's much easier, since you only have to correct one aspect of the aim if you miss.     Don't run in a simple zigzag pattern, or in any other predictable way. In order to hit a moving target, a shooter is going to have to "lead" you with the gun, swinging it ahead of where you are to where he or she thinks you'll be. If it's impossible to know this, you will be that much harder to hit.     Make use of concealment and cover as much as possible. Concealment is anything that obscures your body, but won't necessarily stop a bullet; cover is a barrier that is reasonably bullet resistant. If there are trees, shrubs, buildings, vehicles, or anything else around, work them into your flight pattern and get them between you and the shooter.     Try to head toward a place of safety. If there is any kind of police presence nearby, that's obviously your first choice. If not, any kind of governmental building, then any corporate or public center that might have security, then any accessible space you can access and secure behind you.     Failing all that, see if you can find cover just long enough to call 911 or your local equivalent. Stop just long enough to dial, then keep going. You're going to be long on panic and short on oxygen, but if your attacker has fired any shots there is a very short phrase you must get out clearly: "Active shooter at [your location]." If they're just armed and in pursuit of you, then "Man/Woman with a gun at [location]."     Addresses with numerics are best (5874 South Main), then intersections (Main and First), but any landmark you can get out will suffice. An active shooter call from an out of breath caller will get the cavalry rolling hot.     If you can find more cover, try to update dispatch — they're going to be ravenous for more information. Try to tell them your direction of travel, the type of gun involved (handgun, rifle, or shotgun at minimum, but more detail if you're certain of what you're talking about), and the suspect's description. If the suspect is wielding anything bigger than a pistol, please let dispatch know as soon as you can. Shotguns will change tactical response, and ballistic vests don't stop rifle rounds, so responding officers need to know about these before they get there.  Tied to the above, know your weapon. First, this is a shotgun; note the thumping report.  Read more:

Tips on how to avoid sagging skin

Sagging skinSagging skin is caused by many factors, but the main culprit is weight changes and ageing. Here are tips to avoid sagging skin:
1. Exercise – Resistance training
Regular exercise keeps your skin tight and toned. Resistance training allows you to build muscle while burning fat. Avoid weights that are too heavy and endurance exercises such as running for long distances. Endurance exercises on their own are not sufficient, especially if you are over 40. In fact, endurance exercises may contribute to the wrinkling and sagging of skin if they are not paired with weight training.
2. Don’t gain or lose weight too fast
When this happens, your skin doesn’t have enough time to adapt to the loss of elasticity and connection with muscle. While you may want to lose weight quickly, a healthy rate of weight loss is one to two kilos per week. At this rate, you can lose weight while building muscle at the same time.
3. Have a healthy diet
Include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet, while avoiding sugar and processed foods. Sugar is bad for your skin as it causes inflammation, which breaks down collagen and elastin. This results in sagging skin, wrinkles and cellulite.
4. Invest in your skin care
As you get older, you need more than a basic routine of washing and moisturising your face. Look for products that contain Vitamins A and C, as they help retain elasticity and thus prevent sagging.
5. Protect your skin from the sun
The sun is one of the biggest causes of ageing. Ageing occurs when you lose elasticity and sun exposure speeds this process. Prevent this by limiting your sun exposure and by using sunscreen.
While you cannot completely prevent sagging skin, you can certainly do a lot to minimise it.

DRUGGED, SPIKED DRINKS AT A DRINKING JOINT

Stories are told of people being drugged in drinking joints and then robbed... How does this exactly take place? Has it ever happened to you? What drugs are used? Where do they obtain the drugs?

HOW IT HAPPENS; They lurk in pubs, restaurants and wine/spirits joints waiting for their "customers". They make a living from drugging unsuspecting KUDUNGA". It involves putting a sedating drug or a stupefying agent into the drink, mostly alcohol of an unsuspecting victim... It's common in pubs in Nairobi's downtown CBD... SABINA JOY, WALLET, APPLE BEES. They prefer canned beers/juices as it's difficult to notice. They are also common in THIKA, GITHURAI 45, PARTS OF MOMBASA, RUIRU, NGARA, JUJA, KAHAWA WEST and ZIMMERMAN. They collude with unscrupulous medical personnel to obtain restricted medication for use in this vice. The culprits are mostly young ladies in their early 20's. They lurk in pubs/restaurants identifying their targets and mostly frequent night clubs. And the girls are adept at their art; they've perfected the practice of changing hair/dress styles for maximum disguise. They mostly use a benzodiazepine called Zolpidem(stilnox, stilnoct), popularly known as "MCHELE", apparently derived from the shape of a grain of rice. These drugs belong to the class of drugs called Central Nervous System Depressants. Zolpidem is used to treat insomnia(sleeping problems). It belongs to the group of drugs called central nervous system (CNS) depressants. Once the 'MCHELE' is administered, the Victim's central nervous system slows down, grinds to a near halt; Sense of judgement is impaired and sleep sets in because of the synergy with alcohol. And the next time the victim wakes up he/she finds himself/herself minus all valuables and cash. Many have experienced it but won't say it, fearing to appear stupid. Have you ever fallen victim? Do you know anyone who fell victim to this? Do you know any pub/place/restaurant where it happens? Do you know any bar/restaurant where staff/owner collude to do it? And do you know anyone who assists these criminals get the dangerous drugs? Do you know any pharmacy/clinic that dispenses such medication illegally? Please share via inbox by giving your experience.

To all the real men

I have seen many men who fit the stereotypical "perfect guy". tall, dark, handsome, rich, generous, romantic, funny, from a good family, lives in the leafy suburbs, drives a good car etc. Not to say that this things are bad, they are good, important even. But I have learned that if someone is smart and determined, these things will always come to them, eventually.

But I have also seen another kind of man: one whose trust is completely in God. One who is full of faith, believes nothing is impossible, walks uprightly and does not seek the counsel of the ungodly. The man who sets the trend and commands respect from his peers and even superiors. He treats all people with respect and lives peaceably with all men. A man who pursues the face of God and dedicates himself to knowing His word and walking in His ways. Honorable men, respectable men. Mentors, prayer warriors, missionaries in pursuit of souls and living the higher life. They may not have all the pizzazz that the "perfect man" has but they are the desire of any wise woman.

If you are working on becoming the Proverbs 31 lady, this is the man you want because by virtue of his knowledge of God, He is strong and will do exploits. He will love you as Christ loved the church, He will honor your parents and embrace your siblings(yes, your crazy brother and loud sister) as his own, He will lead your children to the cross and teach them to be humble and to value eternal things. He will give alms to the poor and pile up blessings for your entire generation. He will be honest with you about his struggles and will let you comfort him in his pain. He will empathize with your suffering and endure you constant mood changes. He will honor God in his decisions and will not compromise his integrity to gain material wealth. He will walk you through life no matter what difficulties are thrown at you. He will cover your children and will be the priest in your house. He build your faith and draw you closer to God.

This, in my opinion, is what makes a man perfect: His love for God. For where a man's heart is, there, also, his treasure will be.

This is to all the men who have devoted themselves to God. Your reward is great. May you all find the woman who will speak to the King inside you and make you the great person God made you to be(if you haven't already). Keep at it, thank you because you have been a sure inspiration.

US Church allows nude worship - PICTURES

A church in the United States is encouraging members of its congregation to attend services in the nude.
The congregants of a Southeastern Virginia church walk into the church fully dressed and immediately strip naked upon entry.
Addressing the media outside the Church last Sunday, Pastor Allen Parker, the leader of White Tail Chapel of Southampton, said he came to the decision to allow naked worship after concluding the clothing requirements of other churches were overly 'pretentious', and decided his own flock should be free to forgo such materialism if they desire.
“Nude worship provides an air of equality,” he said.
The Church leader said his decision is not without precedence, claiming many of the most important moments in the Bible happened while the protagonists were nude, including Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection.
The chapel is on the grounds of the White Tail Nudist Resort in Ivor, Va., about 60 miles south of Richmond.
Ordinarily, many churchgoers feel pressure to dress in their Sunday best when they attend a worship service, but that concept is foreign to members of the congregation in the Virginia Church.
But although the nudity policy is not mandatory for all attendees, most members of the church have embraced it.
Those not so comfortable with total stripping would at times only go topless, or wear their undergarments.
Those who do strip down, though, say the experience is well worth the initial discomfort.
And in an interview with a local TV station last weekend, the pastor said he is following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
“Some of the biggest moments in Jesus’ life were when he was naked,” said Mr Parker.
“When he was born, he was naked, when he was crucified he was naked and when he arose, he left his clothes in the tomb and he was naked. If God made us that way, how can that be wrong?” he wondered.
Hundreds of congregants have continued to brave the chilly winter weather on Sundays to listen to sermons at the unimposing chapel while thousands have been trooping to the compound on weekdays to take photos of the Church. More than 10,000 people visit the church each year.
Two members of the congregation who got married at the chapel, Robert and Katie Church, said they found the atmosphere welcoming.
“People are more open as far as hearing the word of God and speaking the word of God,” Mr Church said, adding; “There are people that have great means, great wealth while others don't. But you wouldn't know, and everybody treats everyone equally here. We are very happy as a Church family."

The Chairman and Chief Executive Director of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has made a shocking disclosure that  PhD and MBA Holders were among  over 13,000  applicants who applied for the recent Graduate Executive Truck Driver in his company.

Dangote disclosed this Thursday evening during a mentorship chat with World Bank Youth Forum (WBYF) Coordinator, Mr. Rotimi Olawale with the support of the World Bank Country Director, Ms Marie Francoise Marie-Nelly.

Speaking to the surprised youthful audience, the business mogul said that the company only needed 100 drivers but was surprised to receive over 13000 graduate applicants and amongst them were about six Phd, 65 MBA, 649 Masters and over 8, 460 Bachelor degree holders.

He said what surprised him most was not the sheer number of the applicants but the quality and calibre of those that applied who equally graduated from reputable higher institutions.

"All these things are verifiable, and they all graduated from reputable institutions which is satisfactory; and our plan is to eventually make them self dependent", he said.

"Despite the fact that the drivers get trip allowances on each trip along with their salaries, the arrangement is that they will own the trucks at no interests or repayments after they must have reached 300, 000 kilometres, which is about 140 trips from Lagos to Kano and a hard working driver can complete in two years, while lazy ones can take maximum of four years", he explained.

Speaking further, Dangote stated that his company is already one of the largest conglomerates in Africa, and disclosed that the group's five-year target is to reach a net-worth of $75 billion capitalisation and among the top 100 companies in Africa.

He assured that the group, which have diversified into various trading and manufacturing subsidiaries can achieve the set target with just three of them including Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugars/Salt, and Dangote Flours.

The business icon used the opportunity to advise the youths to be focused, forthright and that determination to succeed with integrity is the key to a sustainable wealth.

Will Leopards and Gor get it right in CAF run this time?

Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia start their CAF Champions League campaign against US Bitam of Gabon, while GOtv winners AFC Leopards have a CAF Cup date with Ethiopian side Defence.
Apart from K’Ogalo, which beat Egypt’s Esperence to win the CAF Cup then named Nelson Mandela Cup in 1987, there is nothing to write home about local clubs.
In 2011 there was promise when Sofapaka reached the CAF Confederations Cup third, improving on previous dreary performances by our top teams.
Last year, Gor played in the CAF Cup but were knocked out in the first round by Egypt’s ENNPI on a 0-3 aggregate. The Green Army lost 0-3 away and settled for a barren draw in the return leg.
In 2012, the team took part in the same competition but was knocked out in the preliminary rounds after losing 0-4 to FerroviƔrio de Maputo.
Gor last played in the CAF Champions League in 1996 but went out in the first round. The team has  appeared in CAF competition eight times, with their best finish being a quarter-finals place in 1992 after losing to Sudan’s Al-Hilal.
The work is cut out for K’Ogalo and Ingwe. So far, the clubs are sending the right signals by strengthening their squads and conducting tight training schedules.
Gor coach Bobby Williamson is confident his team is strong enough to defend the league title and compete well in other club assignments.
“With the players I have, I am spoilt for choice. We strengthened the team by signing  some players from outside Kenya. Gor will give opponents a run for their money,” said Williamson.
The Scot brought in 11 new signings and released others as he builds a squad that can win trophies. The new players include Ugandan Geoffrey Kizito from Sai Gon, Veitnam, Godfrey Walusimbi (SC Villa), Jared Obwoge (Chemilil), Shaban Kenga (Bandari) and Rama Salim who returned to Gor from Qatar.
Others are Daniel Onyango, David Juma, Kevin Oluoch from Western Stima, James Kariuki from Karuturi Sports, Haron Shakava and Herbert Kopanya from Kakamega Homeboyz and Kanga High School. The 2010 Player of the Year George Blackberry Odhiambo also made a comeback.
“We are going into the tournament as underdogs but we shall surprise those who underestimate us,” he said.
Gor captain and goal keeper Jeremy Onyango shares the same sentiment, saying Gor would roar after previous disappointing performances.
“We dominated the league last season and are hoping to build the momentum in the CAF Cup. We look forward to winning the title,” said Onyango.
Gor’s bitter rivals AFC Leopards are bouncing back to continental action. They were eliminated in the preliminaries in the CAF Confederations Cup in 2000 by Banks SC of Ethiopia.
Their best run was semi-final appearances in both the CAF Champions league and Confederations Cup in 1968 and 1985.
Ingwe coach James Nandwa said he respected Defence and would take the match seriously.
He brought on board the 2013 Footballer of the Year Jacob Keli, Nigerian Austin Emeka, veteran defender James Situma formerly of Sofapaka, Joseph Shikokoti from Tusker and Musa Mudde who previously played for Tanzanian giants Sports Simba.
“This is a tough competition, which requires experienced players. By finishing second in their league, Defence are no pushovers. We cannot afford to underrate them. AFC is looking beyond this game to the next round,” he said.
Defender Martin Imbalambala said the team does not have to fear. He said they have trained hard and are looking forward to good results.

Quail farming in kenya: is this another mega scam in kenya???

Quail farming in Kenya is a new farmers’ ‘swag’ that has seen many abandon the sustainable chicken farming in favor of the tiny birds. Reason; they mature fast, they eat less and one quail egg goes for 70 shillings 60 shillings more than a hen’s egg. But this is just ‘monkey business’

Many farmers are jumping in to Quail farming due to a craze and hype that has been created by marketers and ruthless quail brooders who are making a killing from gullible farmers who want to “make quick cash” from selling the Quail eggs. This has even given quail farming a new title; “Quilamid Scheme”
8 640x297 Quail farming in Kenya: Is this another mega SCAM??
Quail farming: The new farming craze in Kenya
At a certain forum in Wazua, an expert explains in detail why he thinks that the quail farming ‘bubble’ will soon burst.
  • Those who are established Quail farmers are the ones who are selling to new farmers, aggressively marketing it and publishing stories online. If they are making as much exporting or selling as consumables, no one would bother coming online to encourage you to compete with them in the market.
  • Its a high end product. Relative to the size, its a hard sell locally.
  • People are breeding in large numbers, some forfeiting jobs and taking loans from banks.
    which will equate to oversupply
There are also concerns that there is no local demand for the tiny birds or their tiny eggs. Anyone will tell you that they cant buy a 70 bob egg. To feed a small family of 3 during breakfast, you will need about 12 eggs (one person eats about 4 quail eggs due to their small size). This means, on quail eggs alone, the family will spend 840 Shillings.
There is also a lie being peddled that the quail eggs are being exported to China. But no one can actually stand up and say that they have exported a single egg to China. Also, when most Kenyans hear that “zinakuliwa na wazungu”, that statement alone is enough immunity. The Quail bird brooders and marketers are telling the new Quail farmers that the product has very high demand in “hoteli za wazungu”
Due to the Quail farming hype, most farmers have abandoned chicken farming. This means that soon enough, the farmers who were left in the chicken farming business will be making more money than quail farmers due to scarcity of chicken meat and eggs.

Harare
A man has been jailed for 290 years after a Zimbabwe court found him guilty of raping thirteen women.
Thomas Chirembwe, 30, was on Tuesday convicted of 21 counts of rape and robbery in the capital Harare.
Magistrate Simon Rogers Kachambwa described Chirembwe as “worse than a wildebeest”.
Sixty years of the sentence were set aside on condition of good behaviour leaving the rapist with 230 years behind bars.
Chirembwe faced 30 counts of rape and unlawful entry but nine cases were not heard after witnesses failed to turn up in court.
EARNED A LIVING
The court was told that he used weapons such as knives, an iron bar and spanner to threaten his victims before sexually assaulting them.
“In his criminal acts, he also raped the women and stole cash and other valuables,” the magistrate noted. “There is no doubt that he had turned crime into a profession, earning him a living.
He was also found guilty of stealing property worth thousands of dollars and cash worth $1,500.
Chirembwe is said to have committed the crimes between September 18, 2011 and November 6, 2012.
According to police statistics, at least 400 children were raped and 392 adults were sexually abused in 2013.

Comedian-turned-politician John Kiarie, who is popularly known as KJ, claimed that Mr Odinga had reneged on an agreement to nominate him to the Senate.
Running mate
He also accused Mr Odinga of blocking him from becoming Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero’s running mate, in favour of Mr Jonathan Mueke.
When contacted for comment on behalf of the former PM, his spokesman, Mr Denis Onyango, said questions pertaining to the 2013 election campaigns and the pre-poll deals should be directed to Orange House – the headquarters of Orange Democratic Movement – and not Mr Raila.
