Police seize explosives in Mombasa bound bus
Officers from the Central Police Station inspect explosives that were
seized in a Mombasa-bound bus July 24, 2013
The recovery was made at a bus stage in Nairobi's River Road.
The explosives were packed in two cartons, which the owner had declared to be text books.
The cargo was to be ferried to Voi as paid-for-parcels.
Police believe the explosives originated from Tanzania.
Central Police boss Patrick Oduma said a manhunt for the suspect had been launched.
Mr Oduma said the suspect was dodging officers who reached him on his mobile phone.
