Bruce Willis quit The Expendables 3 ‘after $1m a day demand’

Red Carpet arrivals at 'A Good Day to Die Hard' UK PremiereBruce Willis left ‘The Expendables 3′ after allegedly demanding $4 million for four days work after reportedly only being offered $3 million.

The ‘Red 2′ actor departed the star-studded action movie after allegedly refusing to appear in the motion picture for a staggering $3 million for four days filming in Bulgaria.

An insider told The Hollywood Reporter: “He said he’d drop out unless he got $4 million, a million dollars a day. Stallone and everybody else involved said no.”

As a result, Willis – who played the role of Church in the first two films – exited the Sylvester Stallone-penned motion picture and was quickly replaced by Harrison Ford.

The source continued: “I think [Willis] was pretty surprised he was replaced in 72 hours by Harrison Ford – a better actor, a much nicer person and a more interesting direction for the film.”

Following the news of Willis’ departure, Stallone took to Twitter to slam his former co-star for being “greedy” and “lazy”.
